No Revolution without Revelation

Revelation & Revolution

Exodus 2:23 After a long time, the king of Egypt died. The Israelites groaned and cried out under their burden of slavery, and their cry for deliverance from bondage ascended to God.
Exodus 2:11-12 In the course of time Moses grew up. Then he went to see his own people and watched them suffering under forced labor. He saw a Hebrew, one of his own people, being beaten by an Egyptian. 12 He looked all around, and when he didn’t see anyone, he beat the Egyptian to death and hid the body in the sand.

Israel lived in the choicest part of Egypt. They had the best weather, water and they had the most fertile land in the whole country. There was a time when they enjoyed what they had, but there came a season where the physical benefits of the land they had could not be seen because of the conditions they were now living under.

A man who had revelation (Joseph) got Israel to live in the best part of a foreign land without paying for anything. The absence of a man of revelation got Israel to live in bondage and forced labor. In every generation. If no one with revelation is found, people suffer!
It was only when a man (Moses) with revelation came that Israel was delivered from bondage. If bondage gets into the mind, it blocks you from reaching your destiny. No matter how long the Israelites cried, it didn’t change their situation. God waited for a man who could see a revelation to come then provide freedom. You see, the children of Israel in bondage only saw the chains but they did not see a way out.

Moses being raised in freedom did not have blinkers on his eyes. He was a man of vision! When he visited the Israelites on this particular day, his eyes opened! He realized that there was no need for the Israelites to continue living this way. Something had and could be done. The Bible says Moses beat the Egyptian to death! In every situation, have the ability to see a way out! Moses had a revelation! He became the only man in all Egypt who had the ability to stand up against wrongs that were being done.

Without revelation (the divine or supernatural disclosure to humans of something relating to human existence) there can be no revolution. As long as one does not have a revelation, change will never come. It’s not enough to know that something is wrong until one takes action and does something about it only then will things change. The anointing works with those who are ready to use it and being ready entails waiting for the opportunity to act. May you never fail to see! May you be a man/woman of revelation in your family. May you continually provide solutions while others only see challenges!

Train Up A child!

Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.

Receive Life!

The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. John 10: 10

As you are reading this post, understand that there are two dimensions to life. It's either you are living or you are existing. Before Christ came, people were existing. They did not have life in them. By life I mean the active presence of God within a person. That presence is what makes you or me a Christian.

Let me try to put it this way, its always been said that rolling stones gather no moss. This means when a stone is in motion, it doesn't gather moss, even if the moss desired to latch itself onto the rock. However, when a stone is in situ, all sorts of dirt gathers around, moss soon covers it. If you are existing, you are like the stone which is in situ, always in one place, therefore demons come into your life, bringing with them various negative issues like setback and limitations. This is because there is no resistance.

But if you are living [made alive by the Spirit of Christ], nothing can make sport of your life. You are constantly in motion, alive, full of power. Someone might say, "But I'm alive, look I'm married and I have children, surely I'm living!"

Listen, there are laws that apply universally, such laws apply to everything wether it is living or existing. Some such laws include the law of gravity, if a man is thrown out of a plane he will fall straight down. If you do the same to a stone it will also fall down. The law of multiplication also applies to both existing and living things. There is a process called weathering, which enables stones and rocks to multiply, but you need to understand, just because there is multiplication doesn't mean there is life!

The Bible says it this way, "So, because you are lukewarm--neither hot nor cold--I am about to spit you out of my mouth". When life comes into you, your Spirit is activated such that you are ready for anything that comes your way.

Having houses does not guarantee life, nor does owning cars and money. You might follow the trendiest fashion or have the latest technology, but that doesn't give you life. Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.

It's not about possessing physical items, but about receiving an anointing within you.

How do you receive this life? By receiving Christ into your heart, to be your Lord and Saviour, and to pursue a continuos relationship with him.

Prayer

Lord Jesus, come into my life, I want to receive life into my spirit. I no longer want to function alone. I believe, therefore I speak that you are the Son of God, just as the prophet Jonah was in the belly of the fish, you died and rose on the third day. I accept life into my spirit, soul and body. Amen.

Declaration

My life will never be the same again, for I have received the life of Jesus into my spirit, soul and body. I am no longer cold or lukewarm, but I am hot through the Spirit of God. I am alive to succeed in the name of Jesus!

You Were Built To Worship God

As they began to sing and praise, the Lord set ambushes against the men of Ammon and Moab and Mount Seir who were invading Judah, and they were defeated. 23The Ammonites and Moabites rose up against the men from Mount Seir to destroy and annihilate them. After they finished slaughtering the men from Seir, they helped to destroy one another. 2 Chronicles 20: 22

A lot of people go through life struggling. It's always a fight to get from A to B. If you are to ask someone when last they had joy, peace or laughter in their home, you would probably hear them say they can't remember.

We were created for a much richer and more rewarding experience with God. Jehoshaphat was faced by what seemed like an insurmountable task. The Moabites and Ammonites with some of the Meunites came to wage war against Jehoshaphat. Scripture clearly states that Jehoshaphat was alarmed (2 Chronicles 20:3 NIV), but what I love about him is that he didn't allow any fear or worry to consume him. He simply sought the Lord.

Then a prophet rose up and spoke, declaring to Jehoshaphat what God had said. When man prays, God will always answer. God ordered the people not to worry for the battle was not for them to fight, but for God.

Immediately, upon hearing this declaration, all Judah began to rejoice, worshipping and praising the Lord. As they did that, a miracle happened, the enemy was surely defeating himself. All Judah had to do was watch as the glory of the Lord worked for them.

You need to understand, worship is able to solve a whole lot of problems. Miracles begin to happen when you turn your attention to God and begin to worship Him. This is what the Bible means when it states that seek ye first the Kingdom of God. Focusing your attention on the problem means you are seeing the challenge and believing it's insurmountable.

Turning your eyes toward God and consciously deciding to worship Him means that no matter the setback, limitation or challenge, you always see God as the only one deserving your attention. When you do that, you are fulfilling 1 Peter 5:7, casting all your cares upon him. Walls will begin to fall, even Jericho couldn't withstand a people united in worship.

Friend, worship is your true calling. You were created to worship Him, to glorify His name and to love Him. Everything else you might do, as long as it is not bringing glory to God, is a pervasion of the purpose God created you for. You might fail at everything else but never fail to glorify God.

When you learn to worship God, you are cultivating a deeper level of relationship, almost to the point were God calls you, "a man after my own heart".

Prayer

Oh Lord, how excellent is your name in all the earth. Let everything that is within me praise you Lord. I will rise early and seek you. Teach me to worship you from the depth of my spirit and let not thy presence depart from me. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Declaration

I am a God worshipping machine, created to give praises unto his name. I love the Lord with all that is within me.

Grace Vs Law

Romans 6:14 For sin shall no longer be your master, because you are not under the law, but under grace.

A lot of people believe that grace means that we have been given a license to sin. To the contrary! What the law did was guide man on the way he was to go, how to live, how to relate with man. The law like I always put it is like a road sign which directs you or informs you. Take for example an intersection where tarmac and rail road meet. A rail road ahead sign will be put up before that intersection to alert you of possible danger. It is now up to you to take heed and take due caution. If you decide to ignore the sign, the concequences are obvious.

That is how the law worked. It was a sign that pointed man to the true deliverer but also at the same time warning man of sin. Ignoring the law then meant walking away from Jesus and also falling into sin.

Grace operates in a much more beautiful way. Consider the same intersection, instead of having a sign that warns you, a flyover (pass) is placed in front of you to enable you to bypass the railroad. Now you don't need to stop and give way to the train, you simply flyover it.

What grace gives us is not the right to sin, far from it. Grace gives us the ability [divine enablement] to overcome temptations and sin.

Prayer

Father thank you for giving me power over temptation and sin. I am forever grateful for this divine enablement that makes me overcome sin without struggle through your Spirit. In the mighty name of Jesus!

Declaration

I have the ability to jump over temptation and sin. My life is preserved, my salvation is sure through the mighty power of the grace of God.
